Introducing Actool Non-Sparking Hand Tools are made from a special grade of Copper alloy specially for working with highly flammable acetylene gas and compounds. The alloy contains Copper content less than 65% thereby almost eliminating the chance of a reaction between Copper and acetylene.
ACETYLENE SAFETY
Acetylene is highly flammable material and should be handled with all safety precautions including use of Non-Sparking Hand Tools. However, acetylene reacts with Copper (Base material for all non-sparking hand tools) with an exothermic reaction (releasing a lot of energy).

Thus, conventionally available Non Sparking Tools i.e. Copper Titanium, Aluminium Bronze or Beryllium Copper should not be used with acetylene as they contain Copper more that 90%. In case of leak acetylene can react with the tool material exothermically.
