DEEP DRAWING
COPPER ALLOYS FOR DEEP DRAWING
Deep drawing is a common but important metal-forming process. It is widely used in the manufacturing of auto components, white goods, and general industrial parts. Blank holders and drawing die come under tremendous compression load and are subjected to high wear.

Therefore, the key to a long-lasting and efficient life of a deep drawing tool is to select the material which has high wear resistance, anti-galling properties, and the ability to sustain high compression loads. Tools made of conventional materials, such as cast iron or hardened steel, tend to either wear quickly or have a tendency for pick-up which significantly reduces tool life.

DEEP DRAW DIES & TOOLS
We have developed a high-quality aluminum-bronze alloy QA900 which exhibits high compression strength and low resistance to friction properties making it suitable for deep drawing tools.
